The two-day festival held at Aiwan-i-Quaid auditorium in Islamabad screened 32 60-second films by Iranian filmmakers.

A total of 100 films from different countries went on the event’s screen.

‘Warp and Woof’ (Tar-o-pood), ‘Friend’ (Yaar), ‘Iranian Selfie’ (Irani Selfie) as well as ‘Mother’ were among the Iranian films screened at the event.

The Iranian filmmakers have paid attention to a wide range of social, political and family issues in their productions.

The Iranian 60-Second films managed to grab the attention of people from different parts of Pakistan participating at the festival.

Since Iran and Pakistan share a common religion, history and culture, the nations are closely linked with each other through cultural events; therefore, Pakistani officials make serious efforts to screen Iranian films in their country.

They believe that Iranian films can offer quality entertainment to the Pakistani audience.

Gaining special status in the world’s cinema industry with its unique and innovative film directing techniques, as well as grabbing the world attention through participation in a number of high-profile international film festivals, Iranian cinema has become one of the main enthralling and appealing cinema industries in the world.
